Nitschke Chaff and Freight Currently produce four types of chaff, Oaten Chaff, Lucerne Chaff, Wheaten Chaff and a 50/50 blend of Oaten and Lucerne Chaff.
 

Benefits of Chaff for Horses:
Many horses are fed a mix of oaten or wheaten chaff and lucerne chaff with their grain. The principle advantage of chaff is that it can be mixed with the concentrate portion of the feed so that the horse consumes forage with the concentrate. This can slow the intake of concentrate and prevent starch overload in the large intestine. If your horse cannot tolerate any oats it may be best to use wheaten chaff.
